Fishing Sustainably
Fishing Sustainably
All the demersal fish that we catch come from well-managed, sustainable stock.
Our bottom-water (demersal) nets never come into contact with the sea bed and our catches are nearly always of a single species from a single stock (we take hardly any by-catch).
Our vessels are therefore amongst the most ecologically friendly on the planet.

Fishing Sustainably
Special Nets
We use nets designed to let juvenile fish escape. This ensures they can go on to reproduce and contribute to the future sustainability of the stock. We minimize bycatch by employing pingers
Fishing Sustainably
Vessel Monitoring System (VMS)
A position report is sent by a closed circuit temper proof satellite system to the fishing authorities every two hours ensuring a high level of monitoring to ensure that our vessels are following complex fishing regulations.
Fishing Sustainably
Electronic Logbooks
These are compulsory and report our catches every 24 hours, again making sure we are acting within government quota and restrictions
Fishing Sustainably
Remote Electronic Monitoring (REM)
Our vessels are installed aboard CCTV cameras for a remote monitoring at sea. It keeps a continuous record of trawl and factory deck operations, ensuring that we operate in compliance with fishing regulations.
